Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a small animal rescue organization that is predominantly run by dedicated volunteers. We are seeking one or more Animal Transport Coordinators to help support our foster animals by coordinating transportation to veterinary appointments, adoption events, and other locations. This position will require approximately 5-10 hours per week. Transport Coordinators should have strong communication skills, be well-organized, and be familiar with the Twin Cities area. No experience necessary. Training will be provided.
Pack Walk Coordinator
The Pack Walk Coordinator will oversee our Pack Walk Program and help us educate pack walk participants about proper socialization, training, and exercise in a safe and fun environment. The Pack Walk Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling, promoting, and facilitating monthly pack walks. Strong written and verbal communication is necessary. Dog training knowledge based on positive reinforcement is preferred.
Brand & Merchandise Manager
Help us manage our online store and inventory by joining our team as a Brand & Merchandise Manager. Primary responsibilities will include tracking and stocking inventory and shipping online orders. You may be asked to attend occasional special events to oversee merchandise sales.
Home Visit Volunteers
We are seeking Home Visit volunteers to help us ensure a safe, healthy, and appropriate environment for TCPR animals in their foster and adoptive homes. Home Visit volunteers must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation. No experience necessary. Training will be provided.
Transport volunteers provide transportation for TCPR foster animals to and from veterinary appointments, special events, adoption centers, and other locations as needed. Time commitment is variable, but reliable transportation is required. Daytime/weekday availability is particularly helpful.
Special Events Volunteers
Our Special Events Team plans and hosts a number of fundraising and adoption events each month. As a Special Events volunteer, you will become an ambassador for TCPR as a day-of event point of contact and will be responsible for set-up, tear down, and event participation. Special Events volunteers should have strong verbal communication skills to educate the public about TCPR’s organizational goals, campaigns, and mission. Special Events Team members can also get involved by assisting team leads in the planning of events.
Graphic Design Volunteers
Help us engage the community by creating visually appealing and dynamic graphics to feature adoptable pets and promote special events. Graphic Design volunteers will work with the Social Media Manager and Marketing Coordinator. This is a remote position. Online Content Volunteers
We are seeking Online Content Coordinators to research and write engaging content for our social media accounts and blog. Topics will be related to companion animal care, training, and health, as aligned with TCPR’s philosophies and mission, and may be geared toward a specific online platform. Creativity, strong writing skills, and attention to detail are required. This is a remote position.
DOG TEAM POSITIONS
We are seeking a volunteer to manage our preventatives for foster dogs. This volunteer will be responsible for measuring correct dosages of flea/tick and heartworm preventatives for foster dogs, mailing the monthly preventatives to foster homes, sending email reminders to fosters about administering preventatives, and updating the database to track monthly administration for each foster dog. Successful volunteers will be organized with good attention to detail and moderately tech savvy.
We are always seeking foster homes for our adoptable dogs. We can only take in as many animals as we have homes for. We will work to make an appropriate match given your preferences and lifestyle. Fosters especially needed who are comfortable providing a home for animals with behavioral or medical needs. Training, support, and supplies are provided. Learn more about how to foster here. CAT TEAM POSITIONS
Cat Foster Coordinator
Join our TCPR Cat Team and help cats in need find a place to crash while awaiting their forever home. Foster Cat Coordinators will recruit and educate cat fosters, process cat foster applications, schedule home visits, and match cats coming into rescue with an open foster home. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills. Most of this position can be completed remotely; however, applicants should live in the Twin Cities area to participate in team and leadership meetings.
Cat Intake Coordinator
Looking for the purrfect hands-on volunteer role with cats? Look no further than our Cat Intake Coordinator position! The Cat Intake Coordinator will identify cats that need rescue, coordinate their transport and assist in their intake, and when necessary, provide temporary housing for cats until they are placed in their foster home. A flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and phone and internet connection are needed. Must have strong interpersonal skills, computer/records management skills, and be able to work as a part of a team.
Store Cat Coordinator
Twin Cities Pet Rescue partners with local pet specialty stores in the metro area to host cats awaiting adoption. As a part of the TCPR Cat Team, the Store Cat Coordinator will work to identify cats to place in the store environment and coordinate with fosters and stores for transfer. The Store Cat Coordinator must be able to work successfully in a team and have strong organizational and communication skills. Most of this position can be completed remotely; however, applicants should live in the Twin Cities area to participate in team and leadership meetings.
Cat Foster Communications Manager
We are seeking one Communications Manager for our TCPR Cat Team. The Communications Manager will be responsible for scheduling regular check-ins with TCPR cat fosters regarding the health and behavior of their cat. The Communications Manager will review responses and provide support and/or a reference to the appropriate point of contact.
Help our foster cats put their best paw forward by updating their online profiles! This volunteer will communicate with cat fosters to create and update online biographies and pictures for our foster cats, helping to give potential adopters a snapshot of each cat’s unique purrsonality. Creativity and a moderate amount of tech savviness is needed for this position.
