TCPR hosts low cost community vetting clinics once a quarter at our office in Maplewood in addition to other "pop up clinics" throughout the Twin Cities area.

Pre-registering saves time at check in and allows us to staff the clinic appropriately which creates a smoother appointment for you and allows us to see as many families as possible!

BEFORE THE CLINIC

Make sure you have your pre-registration form submitted. We will occasionally turn off registration is we receive a high volume of submissions. So the sooner you submit the form, the better.

Keep an eye on your email and add outreach@twincitiespetrescue.org to your list of safe senders. Our volunteer team will be in touch with you a few days before the clinic with information on check in, receiving records, and to confirm you are still planning on attending.

If your plans change after you submit the pre-registration form and you can no longer attend, please email us so we can open your spot to someone on our waitlist.

DAY OF THE CLINIC

Exams will be done on a "first come, first served" basis starting at 11:00 am. Please do not arrive earlier than 10:50 am for check-in. You must be checked in prior to the official end of the clinic (1:00 pm), but we will stay late to ensure everyone is seen if needed. To help keep down wait times, please plan to stagger your arrival. We recommend the following timeline:

Last names A-J: 11:00-12:00

Last names K-Z: 12:00-1:00.

Dogs must be on a secure leash and cats must be in a secure carrier or harness and leash. Please no prong or choke collars.

When you arrive for your exam, please check in at the table outside of the office. We recommend leaving your animal in the car or with another person during check-in, as you may not be seen immediately. You are welcome to wait in your car or walk around the grassy area surrounding the complex while you wait, but please be sure to clean up after your dog as needed.

When your dog or cat is ready to be seen, a volunteer will call you to confirm your information.

Card payment is preferred, though we will also accept cash.

Please be patient and kind during the clinic and please keep in mind that everyone at our clinic is volunteering their time for this event. We will be doing our best to provide a safe, pleasant experience for everyone.

Please do not bring your pet if you think they will struggle in this type of event - our veterinary team is very experienced with shy, scared, or nervous animals, but we will not be able to handle any animal that poses a significant bite risk.

AFTER THE CLINIC

All of our records are virtual and will be emailed to you within 7 days of the clinic. Records will come from records@twincitiespetrescue.org.

If your pet needs refills of medications or preventatives that were discussed/purchased through our clinic, please email us to request refills as needed. Often times we can provide discounted refills for up to 1 year after their exam.

Due to the limited capacity of our pop up clinics, we require pet owners to pre-register their pets and book an appointment slot. Please submit the form below to pre-register for the clinic. Once submitted a volunteer will be in touch with you via email with more information on how to book your appointment slot and pay the $20 non-refundable deposit per animal. As a reminder, this deposit will go towards your final bill at the clinic.

BEFORE THE CLINIC

Make sure you have your pre-registration form submitted, your appointment slot confirmed, and your deposit paid. Due to the limited availability and high demand of these clinics, we require an appointment slot to be booked and your deposit to be paid within 3 days of our email to you.

Once you have that completed, please email us any prior vaccine records that you have. This way if your pet receives vaccines with us, we may be able to date them as needing a booster in three years instead of one.

Keep an eye out for an email from us a couple days before the clinic. This will include information on how to find the location we will be at and where to go to check in.

DAY OF THE CLINIC

Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow time for check in. Due to the nature of these clinics, there may be a wait time once you arrive. We do our best to see each pet within their scheduled timeframe but we occasionally run behind.

Our Community Wellness Clinics are meant to be a resource for routine, preventative care at a discounted price than at a traditional veterinary clinic. We highly recommend continuing a relationship with your primary veterinarian in case your pet needs urgent or more in depth care.
